The Experience was Virtual, but the Accolades are Real: Hanlon’s VR Work Wins at the Addys

The brightest lights in Philadelphia’s advertising scene came together once again at Union Trust on March 2nd to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Philly Addys and honor last year’s best and most influential creative work.

The American Advertising Awards are the largest and most significant forum for recognizing top creative talent… and unlike some other recent award shows, the Philly Addys managed to get all the awards to the right people on the first try!

The Ad Club received thousands of submissions from advertising, marketing, film/broadcast production, and design firms, but once again, Hanlon Creative joined the ranks of top honorees.

Every year we push ourselves to break new ground, tackle bigger and more demanding challenges, and let our creative visions take never before seen forms. We are never satisfied until we know we have built something that is guaranteed to stop people in their tracks.

The Future of Pharmacy

The venerable panel of expert judges at the Addys agreed that we hit that mark and then some with our incredibly immersive virtual reality experience “The Future of Pharmacy,” which premiered in Las Vegas last summer at ThoughtSpot 2016, the annual Good Neighbor Pharmacy trade show.

The multiplatform VR application was a mind-bending trip through time and space that showcased the past, present, and future of the American pharmacy in 360-degrees of virtual splendor.

Just like us, the Good Neighbor Pharmacy network and its sponsor AmerisourceBergen are constantly striving to be leaders in their fields, and leadership means not being afraid to take chances, explore uncharted territory, and stay adaptive in a changing world.

Developed in close partnership with Philadelphia’s own Blue Visual Effects, “The Future of Pharmacy,” took those kind of chances, and we’re more than a little proud to say the result was a winner in everyone’s eyes.

The whole night was a special affair, but bringing home gold made it that much sweeter. We are so privileged to count ourselves a member of such a vibrant and talented community of professionals.

We’d like to thank everyone who helped make this wonderful occasion possible, especially our friends at Blue Visual Effects who produced the pre-show, opening, and awards presentation program, and our partners at Good Neighbor Pharmacy, who share our vision, our passion, and our drive to never stop pushing the limits of what is possible.
